The Accrediting Commission for Law and Justice Education is a registered Texas non-profit organization that functions to provide programmatic accreditation of institutions engaged in the delivery of academic degree programs in law and criminal justice. ACLJE is also pleased to offer the only dedicated accreditation services developed specifically to meet the needs of campus law enforcement/security organizations nationwide.

Unlike most accrediting organizations ACLJE does not charge an initial fee for submitting an application for either the higher education program evaluation services nor for its campus law enforcement accreditation services, as ACLJE recognizes that costs often are an impediment to an organization seeking programmatic accreditation. There are also no fees levied by ACLJE for review of the organizational self-study. Organizations that desire to have their programs or organizations reviewed and considered for accreditation by ACLJE are required however to cover the costs associated with ACLJE team visit and for the annual fee of one thousand dollars to remain accredited by ACLJE. ACLJE is a true non-profit organization, all monies received by are used to cover administrative and operational support costs and any remaining funds are used to support research and scholarships in the law and justice professions.
