The Accrediting Commission for Law and Justice Education is a registered non-profit organization that operates to provide academic reviews, evaluations, and programmatic accreditation of institutions engaged in the delivery of academic degree programs in law and criminal justice. Unlike most accreditation organizations ACLJE does not charge a fee for initial accreditation. Colleges, universities, and campus law enforcement agencies that desire to have their programs reviewed and considered for accreditation by ACLJE are required however to cover the costs associated with the team visit. The annual fee for maintaining accreditation status is only one thousand dollars and is applied toward administrative and operational support costs.
